LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL Those three little letters say so much!

Pleased to hear that Cimzia seems to be working well; it's about time you had a break after the long ordeal you have been going through of late. Hope tomorrow's consultation goes well and the results positive. Just don't let them poke too much, you know what these guys are like once they startScared
Will be thinking of you tomorrow,

A quickie post to say it went ok, really. Nice new rheummy nurse. I didnt actually see the dr but his assistant dr says if lumps/ weakness no better when the cimzia is at full strength (end of August for that) then will have to think about it again...

pains in tum and bowel things are to be investigated in gastroscopy. (but that is a camera into your stomach with the ulcer in it- not up the other end...) I wonder if he thinks I am under the gastro team for this? Well, Im not- I will ask them when I go for the next gastroscopy on the 5th August

Weakness in the muscles is increasing and the hardness is now in both legs and forearms. Joy!

Top it all, the next appt to see my chief rheummy (non twit division) is in July- oooh goodie I thought- no! July 2011.....!!!!!!! HAHAHAAHA she cackles madly as there is nothing else to do.

Bloods though are coming down- ESR and CRP now down to 41 and 39 so that cimzia is working on the RA= WONDERFUL!BigGrin ThumpUp

Anemia flagged all over the place and there is a possibility I might have developed celiacs disease that they will check another day. Had a load more bloods. Got the other bloods to do over the next few wks and nice nurse says any other issues, ring her and she will try and fit me in.

I am going for next whack of cimzia next thurs.

Apparently the endocrine results make interesting reading, amongst other things I make 0.0 testosterone for a start and I am thankfully seeing the endocrine Biggest Chief (who I have never met) on the 30th so I will be hounding them about things.

Anyone knows what this means in a pre menopausal woman?

Hi Jenni

Pleased it all went well ... at least I think that's what you're saying! So much going on in your body it's hard to keep up, how do you remember?!!

At least things generally are moving in what seems to be the preferred direction or things are set to happen. It's great news about the Cimzia, fingers crossed there is continuing improvement. Hope the gastroscopy goes well.

Sounds like you may need some Testosterone Replacement Therapy! Don't know much about it but I know that testosterone increases bone density and helps avoid osteoporosis. Think it's quite an important hormone that declines naturally with menopause but clearly you could do to hold onto yours a while longer!

Hi Jenni,

Glad it went well, at least things seem to be moving for you now.
I don't know much about testosterone either but I know that even us women need some! You'll have to pinch some of Michael's!
Good luck for the gastroscopy.

Love, Doreen xx

Hi Jenni

Sounds all good news overall - especially with your levels becoming so low ThumpUp

If I haven t lost the plot ( this weeks been a bit Sad I caught my sons virus on anti - bio , I think you are off to hydro tomorrow.

If so, hope all goes well, I ve started doing it at my local health club ( they ve let me join at the over 60' s rate " young at heart " ) which is very reasonable. I use the jacuzzi brilliant on my shoulders as they get so painful, and then have a gentle swim - I don t do much else for myself, so it keeps me positive too Smile and is helping all round really.

Julia xx

I heard something this week that was talking about testoserone, saying that the keeping a watch on the levels of that and oestregen could help avoid the Hot Flushes. Small detail for you, but ....

SO pleased they are keeping a closer eye on you (apart from 2011)

Hi Jenni - Pleased to hear the docs are working together to find some sort of solution for you. Maybe I have missed somthing but did they tell you what the harness and pain in your arms and legs is caused by?

hi again

Julie, not sure what the hardness in legs etc is about really but it could be a rare (would be with me wouldnt itRollEyes ) effect of the RA.

They are not sure- it could be to do with the addisons disease- I am seeing endocrinology next wk.

Apparently the testosterone and the low sodium level etc is to do with the addisons. I have anemia which is improving but is caused by the long term inflammation being in the rafters, also pernicious anemia (to do with B12) is iffy apparently. Again that is the RA.

low testosterone means that loss of weight etc is nigh on impossible amongst other things so maybe I could wear a patch or something.

Richard and I had a good laugh about me getting too much and growing some extras!!Laugh haha! I will need to keep my beard trimmed....!Blink Tongue

lol

I had a great physio session- nearly died laughing- I will tell you all later...

Lol - you always make me laugh Jenni despite everything you are going through. I hope you were on your best behaviour for the physio and he didn't make you suffer.
